01 — About the Collection

A Frozen Fragment of a Story

LEGS is a collection of 170 unique 1/1 artworks created with my procedural image-generation algorithm. I describe them as Algorithmic Neo-Geo Assemblage because they combine geometric divisions, intense colors, varied patterns, and simplified forms resembling legs.

An Imperfect Frame

From the beginning, I wanted to capture a moment that felt like a film still. It is not a perfectly staged shot or a scene shown in full, but a frozen, cropped fragment of a situation. These cuts are intentional; they make the artworks feel like parts of a larger story that continues beyond the image.

Each artwork is a single composition I selected deliberately. The algorithm generated many different possibilities, but only those compositions whose geometric arrangements suggested a story to me became part of the collection. Each one made me pause and triggered a specific association, which is why every artwork also has its own Artist Note.

Where the Idea for LEGS Came From

The idea for LEGS grew out of a desire to simplify form. I wanted to move away from depicting the entire figure and explore how little needs to be shown for us still to recognize movement, a relationship, or a specific situation.

Only the legs remained. We do not know whom they belong to; we see neither faces nor the rest of the body. Even so, their positioning can immediately suggest something. Someone is walking, running, dancing, waiting, leaving a room, or trying to reach higher. Sometimes a few simple figures become an entire group of people; at other times, a single leg is enough to imagine a larger scene.

Like a Film Still

I approached these artworks as film stills. They are not, however, perfectly staged shots that reveal the entire scene. The compositions are not always arranged evenly or calmly across the picture plane. Elements may be shifted, cropped, or concentrated in only one part of the image. As a result, they resemble fragments of something larger that continues beyond the frame.

We often perceive reality in a similar way. We do not always see everything from beginning to end. Sometimes we notice only someone’s legs in a doorway, a fragment of movement around a corner, people passing one another in the street, or a brief situation whose context we do not know. From that fragment, we complete the rest of the story ourselves.

This was what interested me most: the way people give meaning to simple forms. Perception turns geometry into a complete story of what happened.

02 — Process

From Digital Collages to Artworks Created with a Procedural Algorithm

The process moved through experimentation, simplification, procedural generation, and deliberate human selection.

01Stage

Digital Collages

The process began with 'Breathe, little bird' a series of digital collages I had created some time earlier.

02Stage

AI Experiments in ComfyUI

AI experiments in ComfyUI allowed me to explore different ways of transforming and simplifying the human figure.

03Stage

Further AI Simplification in ComfyUI

As the next stage of my AI experiments in ComfyUI, I continued simplifying the human figure, gradually removing elements to explore how little was needed for movement or a relationship to remain recognizable.

04Stage

Custom Procedural Algorithm

I built a custom procedural algorithm that divides a square canvas into geometric fields with three levels of complexity and combines color palettes, textures, patterns, geometric accents, and simplified leg forms. Each composition begins with a new seed that controls the arrangement and parameters of most elements. This allows the algorithm to generate different compositions within the rules I defined.

05Stage

Generating Variations

The algorithm generated many different compositions based on the rules and parameters I defined.

06Stage

Selecting 170 Works

From all the generated compositions, I deliberately selected 170 works that held my attention and suggested a possible story.

07Stage

Personal Association

Each selected composition triggered a specific association with a movement, situation, or relationship between figures.

08Stage

Artist Notes

I recorded my first association with each composition as an Artist Note - a personal trace of my selection process.

09Stage

Unique 1/1 Artwork

Each selected composition became a unique 1/1 artwork with its own set of Traits and an individual Artist Note.

03 — Traits

Each Artwork Has Its Own Set of Traits

Legs are the central motif of the collection, but their surroundings are equally important. Geometric fields, lines, circles, small elements, and patterns may trigger an emotional association or suggest an interior, a street, a floor, a wall, or a stage set. They do not depict a specific place, but they help us imagine the space in which a particular situation might unfold.

Each artwork is described by four Traits. Grid defines the structure and level of complexity of the composition: Clean, Balanced, or Rich. Legs indicates the number of abstract legs visible in the artwork. Leg Body Colors indicates the number of colors used in the leg forms. Artist Note is my brief, personal note describing the association that influenced my selection of a particular composition.

Trait 01Grid
Values / Format

Clean / Balanced / Rich

Defines the structure and complexity of the grid composition, including the number of sections and divisions and its overall visual density.

Trait 02Legs
Values / Format

Numeric value (1, 2, 3, 4...)

Indicates the number of abstract legs in the selected composition.

Trait 03Leg Body Colors
Values / Format

Numeric value (1, 2, 3)

Indicates the number of distinct colors used in the leg forms of the selected composition.

Trait 04Artist Note
Values / Format

Brief personal association (free text)

Records the artist’s personal note describing the visual association, impression, or idea that influenced the selection of the composition.

04 — Interpretation

The Algorithm Creates Form; the Human Sees a Story

The algorithm does not know what it has generated. It does not understand that the positioning of two figures might look like a dance, an argument, a meeting, or a farewell. For the algorithm, these are simply parameters, positions, colors, and relationships between elements.

A story emerges only when a human looks at the image. We recognize movement and situations because we relate them to our own experiences and everyday observations. The same arrangement may remind me of a specific scene, while someone else may see something entirely different.

This is what the entire project is built on. I wanted to show the moment when an algorithmic composition becomes an image that begins to mean something. The algorithm creates the arrangement, but only a human gives it meaning and a reason to exist.

05 — Artist Notes

A Trace of My Selection Process

Every LEGS artwork has its own Artist Note: a brief note describing my first association with the composition. It might be an everyday situation, a dance movement, a film scene, a relationship between people, a humorous moment, or something completely absurd.

These notes matter to me because they show why I selected that particular variation from among the many compositions. They record what I saw in the arrangement and what made it hold my attention. They are not intended, however, to impose a single correct interpretation on the viewer.

Everyone may see something different in these images. My notes represent only one point of view and are a trace of my selection process. I wanted to preserve Artist Note as a Trait of the collection because it connects the algorithmic component with a personal, human association.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is LEGS?

LEGS is a collection of 170 unique 1/1 artworks created with my custom procedural algorithm. The collection combines geometric fields, color palettes, textures, patterns, geometric accents, and simplified leg forms.

What does “Algorithmic Neo-Geo Assemblage” mean?

“Algorithmic” refers to the custom procedural algorithm used to generate the compositions. “Neo-Geo” reflects their geometric structure, while “Assemblage” describes the combination of geometric fields, color palettes, textures, patterns, accents, and simplified leg forms.

How was the LEGS collection created?

The process began with Breathe, Little Bird, a series of digital collages I had created some time earlier. It then developed through AI experiments and further simplification in ComfyUI.

The next stage was building my custom procedural algorithm, generating many different compositions, deliberately selecting 170 works, recording my personal associations as Artist Notes, and turning each selected composition into a unique 1/1 artwork.

Was LEGS created with AI?

AI was used during the experimental stages in ComfyUI to explore different ways of transforming and simplifying the human figure.

The final compositions were generated with my custom procedural algorithm, based on the rules and parameters I defined.

How does the custom procedural algorithm work?

I built a custom procedural algorithm that divides a square canvas into geometric fields with three levels of complexity and combines color palettes, textures, patterns, geometric accents, and simplified leg forms.

Each composition begins with a new seed that controls the arrangement and parameters of most elements. This allows the algorithm to generate different compositions within the rules I defined.

Were all generated compositions included in the collection?

No. The algorithm generated many different compositions based on the rules and parameters I defined.

From all the generated compositions, I deliberately selected 170 works that held my attention and suggested a possible story.

Is every LEGS artwork unique?

Yes. Each selected composition became a unique 1/1 artwork with its own combination of geometric fields, colors, patterns, simplified leg forms, Traits, and an individual Artist Note.

What are the Traits in the LEGS collection?

Each artwork is described by four Traits:

  • Grid: defines the structure and complexity of the composition: Clean, Balanced, or Rich.
  • Legs: indicates the number of abstract legs in the selected composition.
  • Leg Body Colors: indicates the number of distinct colors used in the leg forms.
  • Artist Note: records my personal association with the selected composition.
What is an Artist Note?

An Artist Note is a brief personal note describing the first association a selected composition triggered for me. It may relate to a movement, situation, relationship between figures, everyday observation, film-like scene, or something humorous or absurd.

The Artist Note records a trace of my selection process. It does not define the only correct interpretation of the artwork.

Can I explore the collection before minting?

Yes. The Collection Explorer presents all 170 artworks together with their Traits and Artist Notes.

You can search by artwork number or Artist Note and filter the collection by Grid, Legs, and Leg Body Colors.

What does “blind mint with immediate reveal” mean?

The specific artwork is assigned at the moment of minting, so you cannot select a particular composition in advance.

Each artwork is minted as a blind mint and revealed immediately after minting.

When does the Presale begin?

The Presale begins on September 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM CEST / 9:00 AM EDT / 6:00 AM PDT / 10:00 PM JST on TransientLabs.

It is available exclusively to Allowlist participants for 24 hours. The Presale price is 0.0062 ETH, with a limit of 2 artworks per wallet.

To request a place on the Allowlist, contact me by DM through my official X profile or through the contact email provided on the website.

When does the Public Mint begin?

The Public Mint begins on September 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM CEST / 9:00 AM EDT / 6:00 AM PDT / 10:00 PM JST, immediately after the Presale ends on TransientLabs.

It is open to everyone and will remain available until the final artwork is minted. The Public Mint price is 0.0092 ETH, with a limit of 170 artworks per wallet.

Each artwork is minted as a blind mint and revealed immediately after minting.
